Here at Eastwood we pride ourselves on being DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) specialists. Partnered with Forté Lubricants, we can use our Power Clean machine to complete an onboard flush of your DPF, clearing any lights or fault codes that have plagued your diesel car.
We service blocked DPFs on all makes and models including Audi, Ford, BMW, VW (Volkswagen), and more!
What is a DPF?
A DPF or Diesel Particulate Filter is a device designed to remove the soot and other harmful contaminants from the exhaust gasses whilst driving. It then stores these contaminents to burn off later under the correct conditions.
My DPF Light is on what should I do?
If your DPF light comes on while driving please consult your manual or handbook. This would usually indicate that your car has failed to meet the conditions to carry out a 'regen' to burn off the contaminents. These conditions may include: having over a quarter tank of fuel, driving over 40 mph, and having the engine running at normal operating temperature. However each and every vehicle is different so please double check in your handbook. If the light persists or the engine managment light illuminates as well, please don't hesistate to give us a call!
